Notary

The Universal Group provide notary services for individuals and businesses requiring the services of a notary public in many countries around the world.

notary public (can be referred to as a notary, or a public notary) is a public officer empowered by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters, usually concerned with estates, deeds, powers-of-attorney, and foreign and international business. A notary’s main functions are to administer oaths and affirmations, take affidavits and statutory declarations as well as witness and authenticate the execution of certain classes of documents. A notary may also take acknowledgments of deeds and other conveyances, protest notes and bills of exchange, provide notice of foreign drafts, prepare marine protests and provide exemplifications and notarial copies. The specific role and powers of a notary vary by jurisdiction and may include other official acts depending on the jurisdiction. Such an act is known as a notarisation.
